Week 15

Happy Thanksgiving

The holidays are here and we are ready to celebrate this week at Sallas Mahone.  Thursday we will be having a Thanksgiving Feast.  Our class is in charge of bringing apples and oranges to the feast.  Attached to the newsletter you will find more information regarding the feast.

Poetry Coffeehouse is Wednesday at 12:30.  Come to the classroom to watch your child recite a Thanksgiving Day poem and enjoy some hot chocolate. 

And finally, Friday is the annual Hoe Down.  Your child will be asked to dress in cowboy/cowgirl attire and country line dance during elective on Friday.

Student Teacher's Last Day

Miss Kennedy has been with the class since the beginning of the year, but will be graduating in December.  Her last day with us will be December 3.  Please ask your child to write/make/draw something special and send it to school where will be having a celebration for her.  Please send in by November 30.

Jadyn is always willing to volunteer and will help anyone in need.  He is well liked by her classmates and is a delight to have in class!

Weekly Math Facts

We are done with our progression through math facts.  Please keep working with your child so he/she can be a math fact master!  Thanks to those parents who are helping at home… it shows.

Reminders

·      Practice your spelling words for the test on Friday

·      Read 10-15 minutes every night.

·      Christmas Break is December 20 – January 5.

·      Report Cards will be sent home on January 7.
