Graded Papers
I will enclose graded papers with this week’s homework folder. I have attached a list of what assignments should be graded. If your child is missing some of these assignments, he or she either did not write their name or turn it in to me. The assignments with red markings mean they will go towards your child’s grade. These, and all you get back in this grading period, account for 5% of your child’s grade if it is language arts, or 10% if it is Math.
Reminders
· Stay hydrated because it is hot at recess. You may bring in a water bottle for your cubby if needed.

Weekly Math Facts
We will learn a set of math facts every week. For success in math in first grade and beyond, your child should have a solid foundation of their math facts. Your child is tested on facts through 12 (as part of their grade) near Christmas, then again at the end of the year.
We are moving on to plus one facts. We will do this set for one week. Thanks to those parents who are helping at home… it shows.
0 + 1 = 1
1 + 1 = 2
2 + 1 = 3
3 + 1 = 4
4 + 1 = 5
5 + 1 = 6
6 + 1 = 7
7 + 1 = 8
8 + 1 = 9
